London is packed full of incredible experiences to discover, culinary hotspots, tranquil green spaces and so much more. And for those looking to marvel at the most beautiful places in London, the options are seemingly endless. But where to begin? That’s the million-dollar question that we hope to answer today.

Beautiful Belgravia

If there’s only time to visit one part of London during a stay, then why not make it Belgravia? This area of great historical interest boasts some of the finest architecture that the capital has to offer. Moreover, the shops, restaurants and bars that call those buildings home are among some of the most sought-after in the world.

Strolling around the regency-style crescents and verdant garden squares is inspiring and relaxing at the same time. Here in one of the most beautiful places in London, it’s easy to lose track of time and simply while away the hours. But to add a little more structure to any visit, here are a few of our own suggestions that will complete any trip to the capital.

Elizabeth Street

Elizabeth Street is a short stretch of London real estate that boasts a big reputation. It is considered to be one of the most beautiful places in London even though it only runs a short distance between Eaton Square to the north and Elizabeth Bridge to the south.

This gorgeous road is lined with floral displays and is home to many businesses that regularly pop up on any decent London guide. From chic boutiques to authentic restaurants displaying fine cuisine from all over the world, Elizabeth Street has it all.

This street first took shape in the 1860s in the middle of the Grosvenor Belgravia estate. It is a sophisticated avenue that is always a favourite meeting point for locals and tourists alike. It has a village-like feel thanks to its wide expanse of tree-lined pavements and friendly atmosphere. Georgian townhouses of historical importance flank both sides of the street adding to its charm and beauty.

The Goring

Location: 15 Beeston Place, London
Price: £500+
Website: https://www.thegoring.com/

As we step through the doors of The Goring, we find ourselves walking in the footsteps of some of the world's most famous current and historical figures. The hotel has welcomed every prime minister and reigning monarch over the last century. And more recently, Kate Middleton spent her last night there as a single lady.

The hotel opened in 1910 and has remained in the same family ever since. It was also the first hotel in the world to offer central heating and en suite bathrooms in every room. The location is perfect and the facilities are world-class. In fact, The Goring boasts the largest privately owned garden in London. Here, many special and historical events have taken place over the years.

We can expect the most exclusive and preferential treatment when staying with the Goring family. And to refer to this location as ‘the lap of luxury’ doesn’t even come close to describing just how high-end the finishing touches are. There’s also the Linley-designed dining room at the heart of the operation serving up exquisite delights with a distinctly British feel.

Belgrave Square Gardens

Location: Just south of Hyde Park Corner

Belgrave Square is one of London’s most notable locations. The surrounding architecture, the history and of course, the gardens all play a part in making the square such a highly regarded destination.

Many high commissions and embassies are housed in the buildings that skirt the edges of the square and are certainly worth a mention. But it is the 4.5-acre private garden at the centre of the area that draws in the biggest crowds. Designed by George Basevi in 1826, the park remains an oasis offering well-needed R & R for those living in the area.

There are so many wonderful ways to enjoy the green space. Many like to simply stroll around and breathe in the fresh air while others prefer to pursue more energetic pastimes such as tennis, for example. There are often public art installations in the gardens and there’s also a statue of Sir Robert Grosvenor just outside.

Eccleston Yards

Eccleston Yards is located very close to Victoria station. And several other transport connections can be used including tube and buses to reach this modern and friendly destination. The rest of central London is accessible within walking distance or a short ride on any one of the transport options.

The area has undergone extensive redevelopment in recent years and is a far cry from the industrial origins that once were. It’s often regarded as one of the most beautiful places in London thanks to its hipster vibe, quirky spaces and raw energy that flows through the yards.

There are many reasons to visit Eccleston Yards. And it is the eclectic mix of multi-use buildings that draws in such a unique and interesting crowd day after day. There are lots of shops, bars and places to eat among others. And the courtyard is also used for open-air movies, markets, yoga, croquet competitions and others.

There’s a pop-up bar and kitchen especially for the summer, opening from 12pm and serving Pimm’s all day long. And for other tempting beverages, try Bâtonnage wine bar and shop. It’s the perfect place to relax with friends or share a romantic moment perhaps.

There are places to find excellent coffee, breakfast, lunch and dinner throughout the yards. One of the most well-known is the Jones Family Kitchen. Dine on the terrace in the summer and hunker down in the cosy indoor area throughout the colder months.

Shopping at Eccleston Yards

There are plenty of shops in Eccleston Yards that are worth talking about. The majority are smaller independent brands as the yard definitely tries its best to move away from the mainstream. Tailor Made, for example, offers 3D body scanning to custom fit all of their garments. And, don’t forget London’s best kept secret, the Eccleston Yards Market, which offers a unique shopping experience to find the perfect gift or just a treat for yourself.

Health & Fitness at Eccleston Yards

Inspiring, energetic, rejuvenating and healthy activities are all available at Eccleston Yards. Take part in Hotpod Yoga, Barry’s Bootcamp as well as the meditation studio Re:Mind. Everything we need to recalibrate the mind, body and soul is hidden away in the middle of Belgravia.

Artwork at Eccleston Yards

Frida Kahlo's artwork is a massive hit across social media and anyone who’d like to experience this style of street art in person should head down to Eccleston Yards. The incredible display comes alive within the twists and turns that pass through the yards.
