As the weather begins to flourish and picnics with friends can become a thing of the present again, we look to some of our favourite restaurants and cafes across Mayfair and Belgravia to inspire and elevate your picnic hampers.
Davies and Brook have just launched their delicious Claridge’s Fried Chicken (CFC) as part of their ‘To Go’ Box, which also includes three delicious side dishes and a summer dessert. All food items are ready-to-eat, making the perfect edition to the picnic hamper. If thirsty as well, fear not as their cocktails ‘Strawberry and Jasmine Milk Punch’ and ‘Elderflower Cooler’ are also available, as well as a selection of wine, champagne and beers.
If CFC isn’t your thing, then The Connaught in Mayfair has a huge range of five-star pizzas available for delivery, including the restaurant’s signature Black Truffle Pizza with fontina cheese, and their Asparagus and Spicy Salami pizza – a pizza-lovers dream. There’s also a truffle cheeseburger and two desserts – Dark Chocolate Brownie with Milk Chocolate Cream and Cheesecake.
Of course we couldn’t leave out some of our favourite sweet treats from Belgravia’s Elizabeth Street. Recently celebrating the 7th anniversary of The Cronut, Dominique Ansel’s signature creation is available to order any time. Named the World’s Best Pastry Chef of 2017, Chef Dominique Ansel creates a new flavour every month which is never repeated. A selection of these are just what we’d recommend for curing any lockdown blues.
Finally, but by no means least, the gloriously indulgent Peggy Porschen Cakes have just launched their ‘Petite Parlour’ opening menu, and as of the 6 June, are open for online ordering and takeaway offering from their Belgravia and Chelsea Parlours. Satisfy cravings for soft & fluffy sponges, all-time flavour favourites and exquisitely executed cake artistry with heavenly cupcakes, stunning layer cakes and their ‘Made Without’ menu.
