Late Night Christmas Shopping

Throughout December Pantechnicon will be hosting a series of late night shopping events…

9 & 10 December, 5.30pm – 8.30pm

Come and discover the taste of the Nordics at Pantechnicon’s complimentary drinks evenings in Studio on 9 and 10 December from 5:30pm-8:30pm. You’ll be able to explore the flavours of Finland’s Koskenkorva vodka and Sweden’s oldest and most celebrated aquavit, OP Anderson. Rooted in Swedish tradition, OP Anderson’s distinctive red cap and spice flavours are synonymous with festive occasions throughout the year, like Easter, Midsummer and Christmas. Its key spices of caraway, aniseed and fennel are all distilled separately, then aged in oak barrels. Hosted by OP Anderson’s Mario Sandgren, four different aquavits will be available to try. Koskenkorva’s vodka is made exclusively from local barley and spring water by a continuous distillation process for smoothness and clarity.

11 December, 5.30pm – 8.30pm & 12 December, 2pm – 5pm

Visit Studio for complimentary drinks to discover a selection of unique fruit liqueurs crafted in Japan by Umeshuya on 11 and 12 December. Umeshuya collaborates with traditional Japanese sake breweries to develop unique blends of umeshsu plum wine and yuzushu citrus liqueurs using the finest locally sourced ingredients to create limited quantity, small batch runs. Bespoke artwork is created for each of Umeshuya’s collection to reflect their Japanese heritage. The Umeshuya team will be presenting a range of styles of plum and yuzu liqueurs, including a premium yuzu and ginger blend that’s akin to gingerbread and perfect for the festive season. Japanese fruit liqueurs can be enjoyed straight, on-the-rocks, mixed with soda water or with sparkling wine. They also make a great addition to cocktails!

16 & 17 December, 5.30pm – 8.30pm

Visit Studio at Pantechnicon on 16 and 17 December from 5:30pm-8:30pm and explore the flavour of Nuet Aquavit during a complimentary tasting event. A brand that’s reinventing the traditional Nordic spirit to bring it to the masses, it’s the only aquavit ever to win an award in the gin category of an international spirits competition. Pantechnicon will be introducing Nuet Aquavit by serving up four cocktails: the Nordic Mule – a tasty twist on the gingery classic, and the Nuet Spritz – a simple and fresh cocktail combining aquavit with lemonade and bubbly that’s super easy to recreate at home. You’ll also be among the first in the UK to try the newly-launched Nuet Moments Toddy, a spicy berry liqueur. The first aquavit-based toddy to ever be created by a distillery, it’s crafted in Drøbak, Norway with apples, blackcurrants, figs and allspice.
