The Daily Dress Edit found its first home in Belgravia back in 2019 on Motcomb Street. The first Pop Up was a surprising success as it was a completely new and untested concept; to bring an Instagram account into a retail space. Belgravia has been a brilliant home to house the Pop Ups with the amazing feeling of community and pretty streets lined with beautiful store fronts. Having been itching to find a space in Eccleston Yards since the start of this partnership, I am over the moon to finally have the opportunity to show off this jewel in the crown of Belgravia.
Each Pop Up I bring new brands into the project and this year is a bumper one, with over 40 designers and many of them new finds. From Freya Simone who makes all her dresses from preloved textiles to Manimekala whose stunning marbled fabric is all created by hand in London. I’m always excited to have Pop Up favourites such as Justine Tabak and O’Pioneers who always produce beautiful autumnal dresses that are also made carefully by skilled seamstresses in the UK. I have worked with most of the brands on an exclusive dress that we have co designed and only be available at the Pop Up. All the styles are limited edition and made consciously and carefully by brands that really care about the impact they make on the environment. The Pop Up aims to really champion slow fashion and to encourage the consumer to buy something they will love and wear for years to come.
I’m excited to work with Belgravia residents to curate one-off designs exclusively for the Pop Up. Working closely with brands such as Beulah and NRBY to create the Belgravia Edit, showcasing the best of what there is to offer in the area.
I love being in Belgravia and it very much feels like a home away from home for me now. From the joy of browsing in Summerill & Bishop on Elizabeth St, home to the loveliest homeware to the sensory delights of Jo Loves, it is an area that makes you want to linger and enjoy. A lunch stop at my favourite Thomas Cubbit followed by tempting haul of groceries that I never before thought I needed from Bayley & Sage. A morning coffee and croissant from Morena with the best people watching from the many outdoor tables in Eccleston Yards. I’m going to be making the most of my time in the area during the Pop Up as I enjoy all that is has to offer.
