Pantechnicon’s Sachi welcomes guest chef Tim Anderson on the 15th January and 13th February
In celebration of Veganuary, Sachi is hosting a five-course vegan Japanese lunch prepared by chef, author and 2011 MasterChef winner Tim Anderson, featuring dishes based on recipes from Tim’s ‘Your Home Izakaya’ and ‘Vegan Japaneasy’ cookbooks.
There are three slots for lunch on Saturday 15th January and Sunday 13th February at 12.30pm, 12.45pm and 1.15pm, with a special menu featuring Winter Tomatoes Marinated in Ginger Tsuyu, Kimchi and Tofu Gyoza and Sweet Potato Mont Blanc amongst other specialities. Available at £60 for food only, or £95 with a curated wine and sake pairing, Tim’s award-winning books will be available at a special price on the day, and the chef himself will be available after lunch for signings.

Make Your Own Miso with Yuki Gomi on 29th January
Join Pantechnicon’s workshop with Japanese chef, food writer and cookery teacher Yuki Gomi to make two types of miso to take home with you. You’ll learn the basics of fermentation as you mash soy beans to create a ‘London miso’ and add spices to create a broad bean chilli miso. Yuki will present different types of miso for tasting, so you’ll leave with a better understanding of the variety of styles, flavours and uses for miso. All materials, including the jars, will be provided.
