Belgravia is bursting with picture-perfect festive moments. Take a selfie besides the dazzling floral displays on Elizabeth Street and Motcomb Street, created by neighbourhood florists Moyses Stevens and Neill Strain, or strike a pose besides the glittering angel wings and beneath the twinkling arches in Eccleston Yards. Festive afternoon teas
Indulge in a festive afternoon tea in one of Belgravia’s elegant hotels, restaurants and cafes. Menus are given a Christmas makeover: think Turkey finger sandwiches, cakes that resemble baubles and Christmas trees, and warming cocktails. Star turns include Festive Afternoon Tea at The Lanesborough and the fashion-themed Festive Prêt-à-Portea at The Berkeley. Booking is essential.
Get cosy with a festive cocktail or a warming mulled wine in one of Belgravia’s heavenly bars and snuggly pubs. Get your cocktail fix at Morena or Wild by Tart in Eccleston Yards; The Hari Bar, a glamorous drinking den in The Hari boutique hotel; or The Library Bar at the Lanesborough. Refuel during a Christmas shopping trip with festive lattes at Instaworthy cafes Peggy Porschen and Tomtom Coffee.
Biscuiteers icing events
Learn to ice Christmas biscuits with a two-hour icing masterclass at the Biscuiteers Belgravia Boutique in Eccleston Yards. Expert icers will teach you the tips and tricks required to create the perfect hand-iced biscuits. You’ll also be given a Biscuiteers tin to take your treats home in. Perfect for Christmas presents is the boutique’s festive biscuit collection, including snowflakes, reindeers and more. 16 November – 28 December
The Gingerbread City
Marvel at five cities made entirely of gingerbread this winter with The Gingerbread City exhibition at The Museum of Architecture. Crafted by architects and designers, these mini-city masterpieces will depict five edible cities across different climate zones. Edible and festive, a visit to The Gingerbread City is a must-do this Christmas. Gingerbread house-making workshops are also available to book. 3 December – 3 January. Booking is essential.
Hotdogs and hasselbacks at Pantechnicon
Head to Pantechnicon on Motcomb Street this winter to sink your teeth into hotdogs and hasselbacks: roast potatoes cut into slices to resemble a fan. The hearty treats will be served from a pop-up stand on the ground floor. A winter cocktail menu will also be available on the rooftop, set to be festooned with twinkly lights, fur and wintery foliage. From 9 November
Festive window displays on Pimlico Road
Prepare to be wowed by the Christmassy window displays on Pimlico Road. Carl Hansen & Son’s windows will be inspired by Santa’s workshop with an explosion of stylish accessories and festive furniture pieces.

Shop for one-off Christmas gifts or find a clay masterpiece to jazz up your home at this Christmas Ceramics Market at Eccleston Yards. Featuring an array of talented ceramicists, the market will feature everything from unique sculptures to beautiful bowls. 26-27 November
Dog-friendly Christmas day out
Enjoy a festive day out with your pooch in tow by visiting these dog-friendly shops and restaurants. Expect a warm welcome for you and your furry friend at food shops Waitrose, and Bayley and Sage. Shop for elegant dog accessories at Mungo & Maud, browse baby clothes and dog sweaters at Marie-Chantal, and discover iced biscuits at Biscuiteers.
