Celebrate the Tanabata Star Festival at Pantechnicon

7th August, 12pm – 4pm at the Roku Gin Summer Terrace at Pantechnicon, free 

Pantechnicon is hosting a series of exciting events this summer including a family-friendly festival on 7th August. Each year, the Japanese celebrate the meeting of two stars said to be love-struck deities kept apart by the Milky Way for all but one day of the year. The Tanabata or ‘Star Festival’ is marked by the writing of wishes that are hung on bamboo, classic games, and dressing in traditional summer kimonos, all of which the little ones will be able to enjoy during this free event. The Roku Gin Summer Terrace at Pantechnicon is located in Halkin Arcade, a 5-minute walk from Knightsbridge tube station. Walk through the archway next to Pantechnicon on Motcomb Street to discover the terrace.

Kids Biscuit Icing Classes at Biscuiteers Belgravia 

From 3pm – 4pm, every Wednesday from 20th July – 31st August at Biscuiteers Belgravia, £35 per child

Biscuiteers, the original hand-iced biscuit company, are running hour-long kids classes throughout the summer. These workshops are the perfect activity if you have a creative little one or are looking for a unique way to keep the kids entertained! During each class the kids will receive a tutorial from one of Biscuiteers’ expert in-store icers, they’ll then be given a selection of fun summer themed biscuits to ice with an array of icing colours and sprinkles to decorate with. Each child will also receive a tub of Jude’s Ice Cream to enjoy. Parents and guardians are welcome to watch the class from another table in the café and can enjoy delicious cakes and a drink whilst their child ices. Discover the Corgi Trail

Although the Platinum Jubilee Weekend is long over, London is still celebrating the momentous occasion! Her Majesty the Queen’s lifelong love of corgis is being celebrated with a trail of giant corgi dogs throughout central London until the end of August. An ideal day out for the family, the London Heritage Quarter Platinum Jubilee Corgi Trail comprises of 19 giant corgis all of which have been designed by different contemporary artists. Make sure to keep an eye out on Elizabeth Street and in Eccleston Yards to discover Belgravia’s unique corgis. For more information click here.
