Congratulations to Edward Bulmer Natural Paint for winning the Sustainability Leader award at Grosvenor’s Sustainability Awards 2022!

Established to celebrate environmental and social leadership, the Grosvenor Sustainability Awards reflect the increasing opportunity for businesses to build a better, more sustainable future.

Edward Bulmer Natural Paint was selected as the overall winner of the awards for putting sustainability front and centre of their design process. The brand’s creation of plant-based paint with minimal carbon footprint and biodegradable nature allows for recycling and upcycling opportunities where traditional paints do not. The paint’s potential to disrupt the industry was identified as well as the way in which it sets a new standard for paint being transparent about its contents and produced without the use of harmful chemicals or fossil fuels.

Additionally, Edward Bulmer have set an ambitious 40% reduction target in their company emissions in 2023 alone, achieved by switching to heat-pumps and renewable energy, as well as transitioning to electric vehicle fleets. They also have a commitment to transparent messaging around sustainability, with their ‘Green Claims Policy’ and as a signatory to the Anti-Greenwash Charter.

Eccleston Street’s Belgravia Books was also recognised at the awards, winning the Carbon Cutter award. The company stood out due to demonstrating how the entire team embodies sustainability values and for their commitment to halve emissions by 2030.
