Midsummer – marking the longest of summer days – takes place on the Friday or Saturday after the summer solstice. An ancient pagan festival co-opted by Christianity in the Middle Ages, it was a major feast day in England until the reformation. Across the Nordics, the tradition has been preserved to this day, with Midsummer serving as an occasion to get in touch with nature, drink aquavit, eat plenty and dance the night away in flower crowns.

Quite the festivity… That’s why Pantechnicon are teaming up with Nordic Aquavit distillers, Nuet once again this year for a true Midsummer celebration. Upon their calendar of events, you’ll find cocktail masterclasses, flower crown-making and a pop-up menu of unique Nuet cocktails inspired by nature.

Cocktail Masterclass

Join our Midsummer cocktail masterclass on 21 June, where you’ll get to create three Nuet aquavit cocktails: a Nuet spritz, dry martini and aquavit negroni. There’ll be plenty of time to savour each of your creations, alongside snacks from our Roof Garden. Guests will also receive flower crowns and a goodie bag to take home from Nuet.
