The first ten Waitrose shops joined the John Lewis Partnership in 1937 and today there are now 338, including convenience branches, as well as shops at Welcome Break service stations, waitrose.com and our own Waitrose & Partners farm. We also have a number of shops in the Middle East and export products to 58 countries worldwide.
In addition to the range of groceries available online, customers can order from our specialist websites featuring products from flowers to wine. To find details of your nearest shop, including location and opening times, use the Waitrose & Partners branch finder. Further information can be found on the Waitrose & Partners Media Centre and Waitrose.com.
Our food touches the lives of millions of people, from our customers to those who make, grow and pack our products. As Partners (co-owners of our business) we are passionate about every step of its journey, from field to fork. We believe that by always being fair, never wasteful and transforming the lives of those who create, eat and enjoy it – our food can be a force for good.
At Waitrose, we place the highest value on animal welfare, environmental responsibility and food quality. That’s why you’ll see the Red Tractor logo on so much of our packaging – but that’s only the minimum standard we set. For many decades, we’ve worked with our farmers to develop own-label products that go above and beyond minimum requirements in the UK.
